開課詳細資訊

Students will learn to write a research abstract in this workshop. The instructor will first introduce the conventional structure and linguistic features in a research abstract. Students will then be guided to analyze research abstracts in their own academic disciplines. Students who sign up for the workshop will need to prepare 2 journal articles related to their own research interests. The criteria of selecting articles are as follows:

1. avoid review articles
2. choose articles from prestigious journals
3. choose articles that you have read before

講者介紹

Fang-Ying Yang teaches at the Language Teaching and Research Center at National Chiao-Tung University. She offers courses in thesis writing and academic writing.
